There are a variety of edge profiles to select from. A simple profile would be a bullnose edge of the same depth as the stone being used. But why stop there when you can have the beauty and elegance of laminated profiles? By laminating a second or even third strip of the stone to the edge, we can create a number of styles to go with any décor. We can even make that third strip of stone contrasting to the rest of the countertop in a material that is used elsewhere such as the floor or backsplash and pulls the whole look together.
Generally a rounded or beveled edge is more resistant to chipping than a squared edge. Our standard per square foot pricing includes a double laminate with a bullnose edge. More complicated edge treatments are more impressive and expensive.
